Ascomata: 342-436 µm high x 320-428 µm in diam., immersed
or semi-immersed, subglobose to obpyriform, brown to black, ostiolate,
papillate, periphysate, coriaceous.
Asci: 152-214 x 32-46 µm, 8-spored, clavate, pedunculate,
thin-walled in the peduncle, thick-walled towards the apex, unitunicate,
persistent, without an apical apparatus.
Ascospores: 30-44 x 18-23.5 µm (excluding appendages),
hyaline, broad ellipsoidal, 1-septate, not constricted at the septum ,
with apical appendages, one cap-like, stiff homogenous appendage is attached
at each end of the ascospore, upon maturity unfurling into long thread-like
structures.
